sketches

Here are sketches for a commissioned painting. I don't usually think about posting sketches, but when I've been following other artists' work, part of the fun is seeing the whole process from start to completion.

So here I am at the start. This particular painting will be for a family expecting a baby boy, and the painting will hang in his room.

It is so cool when parents want to put art into their children's lives. I always feel honored to be part of it. When I started painting, I had no idea my audience would include so many families with children.

More to come. I ordered a wooden panel, and expect it to arrive next week.
