Spring Open Studios at Arc Gallery

Last night was the opening reception for Spring Open Studios at ARC gallery. The piece that got my attention was Lucky Rapp's multi-paneled brain that covered a large wall. In person, the size of the piece is almost overwhelming, with script along all the edges of the pieces to draw you in.





Greg Nelson is showing new landscapes and figurative work. The proportions of the landscapes make them feel very modern. I like the square format and low horizon lines.

Unfortunately, I am always forgetting to take photos at these events. There is a lot of great work from over 20 artists showing.

Fun Size

This week I finished work on 20 small pieces, only 7" high, 5" wide. Some of my favorite characters return, plus some new ones. They're fun-size Tr@veLBoTts, in prep for the Saratoga Rotary Art/Wine show coming up May 2nd. I let them all have resin drips on the back, to float off the wall.
