I heard talk show host Marty Nemko talk about three P's essential to consider in order to succeed in business--people, planet, and profit. Your business must give people something they want, it should not be detrimental to the planet, and you have to make enough profit to take care of your employees.
How does that relate to what I'm doing painting? People--I have collectors. I have a challenge to keep up sometimes. Planet--I've been using a polymer resin that is not environmentally friendly. I wonder about alternatives. But I do recycle old wood and other objects. Profits--I'm my only employee. I should determine if I'm doing enough to take care of myself.
Looking forward, I want to address these 3 P's, and see what I can do to improve. It's that time of year for making goals.
