Before email, there were letters and postcards.
Some artists are still sending postcards as a fun way to exchange art. Jan Weiss created and sent me this postcard:

On my Art Shelf--Tom de Carlo photography

I recently installed an "art shelf" in our guest bath. The idea is to have an easy place to swap out art without pounding a lot of holes in the walls. This month, I framed some pieces I purchased from photographer Tom de Carlo.

The originals for these are sold, but you can get prints on paper or canvas. Imagekind lets you pick the size, with optional mats and frames. Cool!

It's a Brand New Year

This set is finished today--my first for 2009, so I picked the title "It's a Brand New Year." I recycled some antique drawer fronts because I liked the different wood inlays. Pieces are covered with high gloss resin.
